For three generations, The Highlands has welcomed families, couples, and communities to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments. Set in the heart of Highlands, Texas, our venue was built on a simple belief: every celebration should feel personal, heartfelt, and unforgettable

Our Story

What began in 1992 as a small family-owned bed and breakfast has grown into one of Texas’s most loved event venues.

Margaret and Robert Harrison first arrived in Highlands with a dream to create a peaceful escape where guests could slow down, connect, and feel at home. Their restored Victorian farmhouse quickly became a local favourite, known for its warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality. Before long, guests began asking to host anniversary dinners, family gatherings, and special celebrations on the property. Then came the first wedding in the garden a small, beautiful ceremony that shaped the future of The Highlands.

Since then, The Highlands has grown with new spaces, elegant facilities, and modern event features, but the heart of the venue remains the same. Today, led by the next generation of the Harrison family and a passionate team of planners, chefs, and designers, we continue to treat every event with care, attention, and personal pride.
